kVLC

About kVLC

kVLC is a remote control widget for VLC. It controls VLC by use of it's HTTP-interface, which therefore has to be active.

You can control VLC running on the local computer, so you don't have to quit fullscreen, or you can control VLC on a remote computer.

kVLC has most of VLC's functionality; play, pause, stop, seek, volume control and a playlist. No manipulation of the playlist is possible as of yet, though.

It's recommended that if VLC isn't running, you put the widget in standby, by clicking the white triangle.

New in this version

  • Fixed issue that would make the widget use 100% CPU.
  • Fixed an issue are the playlist and cover didn't slide correctly
  • Changed playlist font
